{"id":683,"date":"2015-12-18T15:46:47","date_gmt":"2015-12-18T20:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jamespertusi.com\/?p=683"},"modified":"2015-12-18T15:46:47","modified_gmt":"2015-12-18T20:46:47","slug":"christmas-came-early-at-the-whelping-box","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jamespertusi.com\/?p=683","title":{"rendered":"Christmas came early at The Whelping Box!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking of mics&#8230; I just received my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.placidaudio.com\/products\/carbonphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">Placid Audio Carbonphone<\/a> mic!!!<\/p>\n<p>I first heard this thing when while <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepolyphonicspree.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Polyphonic Spree<\/a> was soundchecking\u00a0in Brighton, UK.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m familiar with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.placidaudio.com\/products\/copperphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">Copperphone<\/a>\u00a0mics (they&#8217;ve got one at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theendnyc.com\/gear\/\" target=\"_blank\">The End NYC<\/a>). \u00a0But this was different, like a 1970&#8217;s K-mart public address system in only the most pleasing way.
