I had the enviable honor of recording an orchestra rehearsing Claude Debussy’s Prelude A L’apres-midi D’un Faun and Ludwig Beethoven’s Symphony No.1 in C Major at a The Good Shepard Center on Roosevelt Island.

The orchestra was conducted by Benjamin Hochman, a brilliant pianist in his own right and just the nicest guy you could ever imagine.

Assisting on the session was the talented (and also quite nice) Lily Hwen who works at the new Figure 8 Studios here in Brooklyn and has worked at The End NYC on occasion.

I’d love to do more of this.  Really.  A lot more.
