New addition at The Whelping Box Studio
Just finished building another one of these. Sure sure, its an awesome tube mic pre (and it really is – I have 3 of them now) but this one lives across the 2buss here at the shop. Probably permanently.
Thanks to Scott at Hamptone for the valves and iron!!!
Back from the road!!!
Catching up on sleep and laundry after a 9 night stint on the road with The Sharp Things, opening for The Church.
Here’s a mess of press pictures and video, etc.
And more on TST’s Facebook Page.
Tenterhooks EP gets a little press!!
And so does [The End…]
And so do I.
“Tenterhooks’ sound is a garagey mix of blistering pop, glam and punk reminiscent of an overdriven Blown Speakers-era New Pornographers. Their debut gig at Hank’s Saloon in Brooklyn last fall was standing room only. Produced and engineered by Pertusi, Tenterhooks recorded their debut EP at [the end] studios (Kaiser Chiefs, Dirty Projectors) in Brooklyn and it’s slated for a January 2015 release.”

New Mix Buss at The Whelping Box
Well… that’s it for the tax return. This is the last thing I can buy for a bit but man, what a difference.
Simple, built like a tank and it sounds magnificent!!!
Thanks to Joel at Rascal Audio for answering all my questions and for building an awesome piece of gear.
